Invacare’s net sales slightly up

ELYRIA, Ohio – Invacare reported net sales of $250.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to $246.7 million for the same period in 2016. It reported a net loss of $17.7 million vs. $17.6 million. Invacare reported net sales of $966.5 million for all of 2017 compared to $1.04 billion for all of 2016. It reported a net loss of $76.5 million vs. $42.9 million. For HME North America, Invacare reported net sales of $79.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to $85.2 million for the same period in 2016, a 6.9% decrease. Invacare says after several quarters of transformation work, NA/HME started to achieve constant currency sequential net sales growth in the third quarter 2017 compared to the second quarter 2017, largely the result of new product offerings and increased commercial effectiveness. The company has launched more than 10 new products, including the new Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair with LiNX Technology and the Invacare Platinum Mobile Oxygen Concentrator with Connectivity.
