MURRYSVILLE, Pa. – Forty-four percent of adults worldwide and 42% of American adults say their sleep has worsened in the past five years, according to the findings from Philips Respironics’ annual report, “The Global Pursuit of Better Sleep Health.” In a survey of more than 11,000 adults in 12 countries, 8 in 10 adults want to improve their quality of sleep but 60% have not sought professional medical help. Eighty-three percent of American adults believe sleep has an impact on their overall health and well-being and 48% who have sleep apnea say therapy has improved their sleep.
