MURRYSVILLE, Pa. – A study by Philips Respironics has found that 78% of those who reported symptoms of sleep apnea were entirely unaware that they were suffering from the disorder. The two-year study, which surveyed 4,206 Philips employees in the Netherlands, revealed that 6.4% suffered from sleep apnea. Philips Respironics conducted the study in collaboration with the University of Twente, Medisch Spectrum Twente Hospital, and patients organization ApneuVereniging.
