AAHomecare hires former CMS public affairs director

ALEXANDRIA - Dallas “Rob” Sweezy will serve as a communications and government relations consultant to AAHomecare. Sweezy previously served as director of public affairs for CMS and recently joined National Media Inc. of Alexandria, Va.
In his role at CMS, Sweezy was instrumental in directing the public and media relations efforts for the provider Quality Initiative, including the Homehealth Quality Initiatives. He also served as the staff chairman for Home Health, Hospice and DME Open Door Forum.
"AAHomecare's staff and members have been working with Rob for a number of years,” said AAHomecare CEO Kay Cox. “Rob served at CMS at a time when the agency experienced unprecedented changes, recently with its efforts to pass the most historic changes to Medicare in four decades. We will rely on his experiences to help direct the industry's efforts as the new law is implemented.”
