NEW IBERIA, La. - Acadiana Plastics Manufacturing won a settlement handed down Aug. 27 that prohibits a rival vial company, now owned by beleaguered RDI, from making a vial that violated certain APM patents. The utility patents involved the injection molding process that APM uses to make its Stat vial and that Global Solutions was using to make its Qwic vial, subsequently named the Nu vial. APM filed the lawsuit well before the acquisition by RDI earlier this year.
