Apria consolidates Michigan facilities

JACKSON and LANSING, Mich. - Apria Healthcare reassigned a handful of employees working at two branches here to a distribution facility in nearby Ann Arbor, Mich. "From time to time, we look at referral patterns and move some positions around," said Lisa Getson, Apria's executive vice president of business development and clinical services. Several industry sources had reported that Apria shuttered its Jackson and Lansing branches. But the situation is less dire than some would make it out to be, Getson said. "Ann Arbor was probably serving as a hub for Lansing and Jackson, anyway," she said. Apria has 23 branches in Michigan. It has more than 500 nationwide.
