Apria, Masimo ink pulse oximetry deal

LAKE FOREST, Calif. - Apria Healthcare has tapped Masimo for pulse oximetry products and accessories for its patients, Masimo announced in an Aug. 22 release. The provider selected Masimo and its proprietary SET pulse oximetry technology through a competitive bid. The pulse oximeters will help patients detect hypoxic events, leading to intervention and delivery of appropriate care. Its deal with Apria marks Masimo's entry into the U.S. homecare market, the company stated.
