Association hires new leader

The Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers (PAMS) welcomed a legislative maverick as its new executive director March 26. John Shirvinsky, who replaced Dave Fiorini, has spent the last seven years as a policy analyst in the office of the state's Senate majority leader. He has also served as the chief of staff in the office of the state's attorney general. His other legislative experience includes managing a state treasurer campaign, and serving as policy director and speechwriter for a gubernatorial campaign. "With formidable verbal and written communication skills, he will be integral to PAM's forward momentum, teaching us how to be more effective legislatively," the association stated in its newsletter.
