The Audit Team changes structure

CANTON, Ohio - Now that it has completed a contract with a large HME provider, plus made some internal changes, The Audit Team is ready to “crank it back up” in 2014.

For the better part of 2013, Stephanie Morgan Greene, president of The Audit Team, was working with the provider as an interim compliance officer—a role that took up much of the company's bandwidth.

“We were managing our core group of clients, but we made a conscious effort to hold back on new clients until that relationship wound down,” said Rick Worstell, chief marketing officer for The Audit Team. “Now we're cranking it back up.”

Greene and Worstell have also made The Audit Team, previously a division of Harrington Management Group (HMG), a division of a new company called Morgan Greene Consulting. Greene will take over day-to-day responsibilities, with Worstell staying onboard but only in a marketing capacity.

Because HMG has a number of divisions doing business in everything from HME to real estate, Greene and Worstell believe the change makes The Audit Team's mission more clear-cut.

“We'll be doing the same work as in the past, but in a different structure,” Worstell said.

One of The Audit Team's first priorities in 2014: to capitalize on a deal it signed in June with Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based Ossur. Ossur contracted with The Audit Team to provide services like identifying potential deficiencies in documentation to the prosthetists that provide its products.

Though Greene and Worstell acknowledge that The Audit Team has been “a little quiet in 2013,” expect that to change in 2014.

“We're putting together a new marketing initiative,” Greene said. “We're going to be hitting it hard in the new year.”
