MK Battery pledges money to AAH, NCART, NRRTS

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- MK Battery has kicked off a new fund-raising campaign and hopes to generate "at least" $50,000 for industry advocacy efforts. With its Power for Funding program, which runs through Oct. 31, 2010, MK will donate $1 to the cause for every gel battery it sells to an HME provider in the United States. The company will split the money equally between AAHomecare, NCART and NRRTS. The campaign is "designed to provide a financial boost" beyond what MK already contributes to industry associations, the company stated.

Brightree's new site brims with content

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - HME software vendor Brightree unveiled a new website (brightree.com) in late June. The site includes everything from customer testimonial videos to details of the company's newest offerings, including Point of Delivery, Point of Sale and sales and marketing tools. The site also include "The Brightree Difference," which offers an overview of what makes Brightree unique.

Invacare kicks off Top End training

ELYRIA, Ohio - Invacare has appointed Jim Black, a 20-year veteran of the wheelchair and seating industries, to head up the company's new certification courses for its Top End line of custom wheelchairs. Black joined Invacare in 2005 and is an accomplished athlete, international speaker, as well as an industry leader in custom manual and sports products.  Providers and clinicians who complete Top End certification gain knowledge on tailoring wheelchair products for optimal fit, performance and rollability, according to a company release.
