Care Medical buys Providence store, retains employees

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Care Medical & Rehabilitation Equipment bought a warehouse operation and retail store formerly operated by Providence Home Services, a move that will bring about 4,000 patients to the company and save the jobs of 24 Providence employees. In August, Providence announced it would close the money-losing store and warehouse by Nov. 15. The store, located in Olympia, is Care Medical's 11th in the Pacific Northwest. The warehouse operations, which had been located in Lacey, have moved to Tumwater.
