Vendors take their shows on the road YARMOUTH, Maine - HME vendors are hitting the road this spring, spreading the good word on a slate of business issues, including rehab, reimbursement and HIPAA. Pride Mobility Product's third annual educational program tour pulled out of Exeter, Pa., on March 19. The 2002 Seminar Tour will stop in 37 cities across the U.S. and Canada over the next several months. In this year's curriculum are a Pride Orientation/Reimbursement Update course; Pride Technical Institute (PTI); Quantum Rehab 101/201; and a six-hour, accredited CEU course on seating and positioning for powered mobility. In conjunction with state associations and in cooperation with AAH, Arrow Professional Services is running a series of HIPAA training and implementation guideline services for HME and home healthcare providers. The manuals have been developed in cooperation with the Health Insurance Association of America and Cara Bachenheimer at Epstein, Becker & Green. For more information, see http://www.arrowprof.com. The MED Group's National Rehab Network is once again holding training sessions for the rehabilitation technology supplier (RTS). The training sessions offer direct training to the RTS on a wide variety of product applications, time management, and relationship building. More than 125 RTSs attended four meetings in 2001. This year, MED is running programs in Tampa, Dallas, Cleveland, and Denver. HME
