Contract supplier retools

Matthews, N.C. - Carolina's Home Medical Equipment has restructured to handle an increased demand created by the Round 1 recompete of the competitive bidding program with Andrew Trammell promoted to vice-president and CFO. The North Carolina provider has also created a new position to oversee audit activity and regulatory compliance. "I would like to hope that the audit disaster could be resolved legislatively,” said Frank Trammell, president and CEO, “but I simply do not see that happening anytime soon. We therefore must spoon feed every detail to Medicare as if we were spoon-feeding a six-month-old, as neither is able to apply common sense or logic." The provider accepted contracts to provide respiratory, mobility and negative pressure wound therapy products and has seen its revenue double since January.
