Coram ditches oxygen business

DENVER - Coram, a national provider of home infusion and specialty pharmaceutical distribution services, has sold its respiratory therapy locations in Lenexa, Kan., and Plymouth, Mich., to Lincare, the company announced April 27. Coram made the move to focus on its core businesses, according to a company release. The decision to sell had nothing to do with the recently passed 36-month cap on Medicare oxygen reimbursement, a spokeswoman for the company said. Coram has more than 70 full-service branch pharmacies in the United States called CoramRx.
