Delivery technician turns action hero

SAGINAW, Mich. - Delivery tech Jonathan Jacobs was named Saginawian of the year in January by The Saginaw News, a local newspaper. While taking shelter from a sudden summer storm at the home of an oxygen patient, the Health Care Solutions employee smelled smoke. He quickly sent homeowner Joann Smith to a neighbor's to call 911 and used a fire extinguisher to put out most of the flames threatening Smith's mobile home. The fire, which was attributed to a lightning strike, could have set off an explosion with Smith's oxygen equipment.
