ATLANTA - A 36-year-old woman who owned a DME company will spend the next four years in federal prison after being convicted in December of defrauding Medicaid. Heather Beck Cumming also was ordered to repay $1.44 million dollars in fraudulent claims made through the medical supply company she operated from 1993 to 2001, Advanced Rehab. Prosecutors say she filed false claims and then receive a double payment for equipment that medicaid recipients would receive.
