Enos: 'We're out and about'

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - Ask General Manager Richard O'Berry what's new at Enos Home Oxygen Therapy, and he'll tell you, "We're out and about." Boy, is that an understatement. Over the summer, the provider held a Sleep Awareness Day and a Wheelchair Wash for the first time. It also nabbed a contract to provide HME to members of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Additionally, in October, as part of a local United Way project, Enos Home employees harvested crops that they planted in June and donated them to a local food bank. Then there are the regular guest spots on a local radio program and a recent article in Healthy Skin Magazine written by the woman who directs the company's clinical care staff. "We're family owned and operated," O'Berry said. "We take pride in the community." At the Sleep Awareness Day and the Wheelchair Wash, employees and manufacturers cleaned and performed safety inspections on equipment. They also answered questions. The contract with Harvard Pilgrim was the last piece in Enos Home's payer puzzle, O'Berry said. "We have all the other insurances," he said. "They were the only sticking point for us."
