Exhibitor highlights: VGM booth celebrates 25 years

BOOTH 1645 - Decked out in their traditional red, white and blue, Waterloo, Iowa-based The VGM Group will be reflecting on a quarter-century of serving the HME industry at Booth 1645 during Medtrade 2011.

With the theme, "Standing United and Fighting for the HME Industry for 25 Years," VGM will be promoting grassroots political action as the best method for getting Medicare's competitive bidding program repealed, said President Ron Bendell.

"We want to remind folks that we have been and will continue to be a powerful force in advocating for the HME industry," he said. "The success of the independent provider is our greatest concern."

VGM will have more than 65 associates staffing the booth--up from last year due to an increase in product offerings, including VGM Retail Services and TeleHealth/Alternate Care. VGM is a partner in the Medtrade Retail Showcase on the show floor, which highlights the ideal retail layout and product lines that are designed to increase revenues through cash sales.

The booth will also feature a more technologically advanced approach to communicating with members and potential members, using a mobile site that highlights VGM's Medtrade activities. It is easily accessed by mobile devices at www.vgm.com/medtrade. Staff will also be using an iPad-based one-on-one presentation to more effectively communicate the benefits and services available for members and prospective members.

VGM has continued to be a major exhibitor at Medtrade through thick and thin, and Bendell says the show continues to be an important partner in serving the HME industry.

"We are a relationship company and we welcome every opportunity to meet face-to-face with our members," he said. "Medtrade and other trade shows are important events for VGM as they allow us to spend quality time with our membership." HME
