Gentiva pushes revenues up 17%

MELVILLE, N.Y. - Gentiva Health Services reported net revenues of $243 million for the first quarter of 2006, up 17% from the $207 million reported for the same quarter in 2005. Gentiva's hospice, DME, respiratory therapy and infusion services segment generated revenues of $11.6 million for the first quarter of 2006 compared to $1.3 million for the same quarter in 2005. The strong growth in this segment was largely due to the provider's acquisition of Healthfield Group.
