Golden renews major VA contract

OLD FORGE, Pa. - The Veterans Administration in late October extended for a second time its national scooter contract with Golden Technologies. The contract to provide small and full-sized scooters to veterans around the country runs from Nov. 3, 2005, to Nov. 2, 2006. The contract was first awarded in November 2003 for the 2003-04 year. The contract has the potential to be renewed four times for five years at a total value of upwards of $40 million. "I'm extremely proud that they recognize that we provide quality products backed by outstanding customer service and technical support," said CEO Rich Golden. "That is why we continue to maintain the contract, and we have no intention of losing it."
