Hoveround opens new center in Houston

SARASOTA, Fla. - Hoveround announced last week that it has opened a new customer service center in Houston to expand support services to more than 25 markets along the West Coast.

The new center, which employs 20 associates, allows the East Coast-based Hoveround to move "support resources closer to our clients in the West," said Calvin Cole, vice president of customer service, in a March 15 release.

Hoveround was able to move into the Houston market when another healthcare company consolidated its services there, according to the release.

"This center allowed Hoveround to move quickly into the market with a turn-key operation that had an established team of individuals with a proven track record and excellence in customer service," Cole said. "We were afforded the opportunity to hit the ground running."

Hoveround finalized its deal with the company at the end of February, according to the release.
