Joe Lewarski joins Inogen

October 11, 2004 SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Joseph Lewarski, RRT, president of the AARC's home care section and a longtime Cleveland home respiratory provider, has been named vice president of clinical affairs at Inogen. Inogen is now marketing a premium, 9-pound oxygen concentrator that it's billing as a both a stationary and portable soluition. The company plans to start shipping this month. "We see a tremendous opportunity to leverage Joe's clinical experience against our expertise in research and development to continue the development of innovative, cost effective solutions that address the needs of both patients and providers,” Kathy Odell, CEO of Inogen, said in a company release on Friday. Late last year year, Inogen scored another personnel coup when it lured Bob Fary away from Apria. Fary has worked as Apria's corporate director of respiratory services. "The development of a position such as this to serve as a corporate interface with health care professionals and industry groups truly demonstrates Inogen's commitment to providers, clinicians and patients,” Lewarski said in a published statement.  Lewarski will work for Inogen from Cleveland. He will continue to serve as the AARC's home care section chair.
