Jorkasky leaves AAHomecares

August 4 , 2003 ALEXANDRIA, Va. - James Jorkasky, AAHomecare's vice president of membership and strategic development, left work at the association last week to pursue other interests in consulting. The association has not yet disclosed whether it will seek a replacement for Jorkasky. Two recent hires suggest that the association already has the manpower to fulfill its missions in membership and operations. Last fall, the association hired Matt Korzan as membership sales manager. And last month, the trade group hired Sue Mairena as its chief operating officer. Unconfirmed reports say Jorkasky had made a play for the CEO spot at AAHomecare after Tom Connaughton announced his resignation. The association hired Kay Cox as Connaughton's replacement. Joakasky joined AAHomecare in late 2000 as vice president of membership services and communications. Cara Bachenheimer previously held the position.
