McKesson acquires Coloplast subsidiary

MOORESTOWN, N.J. - Pharmaceutical wholesaler McKesson signed a letter of intent in February to acquire Coloplast's subsidiary Sterling Medical Services, a national provider of medical supplies and health management services to the homecare market. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Sterling serves the chronic needs of patients with wounds, ostomies, incontinence and diabetes. In addition to the Sterling acquisition, McKesson and Coloplast have signed a supply agreement whereby McKesson will distribute Coloplast's ostomy and incontinence care products.
