MED members gain access to CareCentrix patients

LUBBOCK, Texas - Members of The MED Group will soon have access to CareCentrix managed care patients thanks to a new agreement, according to press release.
The partnership allows MED members to provide home medical equipment and services to CareCentrix's patients at pre-negotiated rates for the next three years, effective May 1.
“We are extremely pleased to have executed this agreement with CareCentrix on behalf of our MED Group membership,” stated Michael Sicilian, president of Managed Health Care Associates, which owns MED. “Our members' philosophy of providing the highest quality home medical equipment to patients for their homecare needs aligns well with CareCentrix's objective to provide high quality home health services to patients.”
CareCentrix, a provider of home health benefits management services to the healthcare industry, partners with health plans, local home health agencies, and HME companies to ensure the delivery of home health services.
“This agreement with The MED Group gives CareCentrix the opportunity to expand the scope of providers we work with while ensuring that our health plan partners and patients continue to receive the highest quality of home health service,” stated Wayde Tharp, area vice president of HME network management for CareCentrix.
