WATERLOO, Iowa -- MedForce Technologies scored another sales coup last month with the development of a new private-label, paperless office system for the VGM Group called VGM Imaging 5.0. "With what's coming up in the next 18 months, a lot of providers are realizing they have to get more efficient. Being paperless is an obvious one," said VGM CFO Mike Mallaro. At MedForce, Esther Apter said a small provider can expect to pay a bit more than $10,000 for a paperless office system. The return on investment for that business, she said, is about 6-12 months as suppliers make efficiency gains from the mitigation of such tasks as paper retrieval.
