ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) threw its support behind H.R. 3790 in January. In a letter to the bill's sponsor, Rep. Kendrick Meek, D-Fla., John Coster, NCPA senior vice president of government affairs, states: "Any supposed savings from the competitive bidding program will be more than offset by increased health care costs, especially if Medicare patients with diabetes cannot obtain their diabetes testing supplies."
