OxyTec debuts a 9.5-lb. concentrator

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. -- Another start-up technology company is making noise in the high-stakes world of home oxygen therapy. At Medtrade Spring, OxyTec Medical Corporation unveiled a portable concentrator that weighs 9.5 pounds, including the weight of two batteries. The batteries, according to President Charlie Atlas, will power the system for more than six hours. Bob Mogue, who formerly worked at CHAD Therapeutics, is the company's director of sales and marketing. Pete Bliss, who used to work at Valley Inspired Products with Bob McCoy, is OxyTec's chief technology officer.
