Permobil’s Explorer Mini receives honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Permobil’s Explorer Mini was recently honored with an Edison Award, which recognizes innovation, technology and advancements. “We are thrilled for the Explorer Mini to be recognized by the Edison Awards,” says Chuck Witkowski, president of Permobil Americas. “Just as Thomas Edison created products that didn’t exist before, Permobil is leading the way by developing the first and only powered mobility device for toddlers aged 12 to 36 months.” Each entry in the Edison Awards is reviewed by a panel of more than 3,000 senior business executives, scientists and academics. Entries are judged on four award criteria: concept, value, delivery and impact. In 2021, Explorer Mini was also recognized as a TIME Best Invention as one of the top 100 products/services solving society’s greatest issues.
