COSHOCTON, Ohio - Randles Medical Supply became the first provider to meet new state standards covering everything from billing practices to cleaning equipment to organization, a local newspaper reported May 26. The state passed a law in 2005 requiring providers to obtain a special license to do business, and it began inspecting them in 2006. As part of the inspection, providers must pass a 52-point checklist. The state inspected Randles in September and despite a few recommendations, such as changing the way they processed some paperwork, it gave the provider the thumbs up on the spot, according to owner Brett Randles.
