RDI acquires compounding supplier

FOLEY, Ala. - Respiratory Distributors last week acquired the assets and business of Global Solution, a prominent Morristown, Tenn.-based supplier of medication vials, compounding equipment, cleanrooms and vertical and powder hoods for use by homecare pharmacies and hospitals.
"We are pleased to have acquired this company and feel that the combination of our companies enables us to offer our customers a complete USP 797 solution," said Keith Trowbridge, RDI's president and CEO.
Trowbridge and Global Solution's president Steve LeMarr said they are excited about cthe ompetitive impact the combination can make in the market.
RDI, headquartered in Foley, Ala., is a leading provider of medication vials used primarily to treat patients with COPD in the home respiratory medication market. The company's clients are a mix of independent retail pharmacies that provide home care products and services to the growing COPD patient population.
