MANCHESTER, N.H. - A year after Rehab Equipment Associates (REQ) took The Hubscrub Co. under its wing, the manufacturer of portable cleaning machines for wheelchairs and other DME has taken off, says Jan Soderquist.
"Sales at Hubscrub have increased one-and-a-half to two times what they were last year," said Soderquist, president of REQ (Soderquist's husband, Karl Soderquist, runs Hubscrub).
As a division of REQ, Hubscrub has been able to tap into capital that has helped the company build inventory. Now Hubscrub's better able to deliver machines on a timelier basis, Soderquist said.
"There's definitely an increase in interest in automated cleaning," she said. "To meet accreditation and other standards, providers are realizing they need clean and sanitary equipment."
