Sales ‘blow up’ at Shuman Healthcare

WAYCROSS, Ga.--So far this year, Shuman Healthcare has enjoyed a 23% increase in sales. “Our sales have blow up for everything: DME, oxygen, rehab,” said William Rowell, Shuman’s director of rehab and tech services. “We’re looking at moving our sales goals for each month.” The problem is the provider has no explanation for its growth. “We’re doing the same things; our marketing hasn’t changed; we’re seeing the same docs,” Rowell said. “It could be a mass exodus from the industry, but I can’t prove that.” In other news, Shuman recently acquired the home oxygen business of Satilla Home Care, also in Waycross, Ga.

Shuman’s still trying to acquire the provider’s home infusion business.
