Scooter Store marks 250,000 deliveries

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - When Nora Spires of Springfield, Ark., received her power mobility device from The Scooter Store in April, it marked the company's 250,000th delivery. The Scooter Store celebrated the milestone April 24 during a company-wide rally at its headquarters here. U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, the father of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), attended the rally. The Scooter Store, which is 40% employee owned, also celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
