Smokers: Eat carrots

MANHATTAN, Kan. - While studying the relationship between vitamin A and lung inflammation, a Kansas State University researcher found a link between emphysema and a deficiency of vitamin A, according to a new study published in the Journal of Nutrition. In the study, researchers exposed a group of rats to cigarette smoke and found that those rats became vitamin A deficient.
