Stand up and be counted

AAHomecare will host its semi-annual reception to raise funds for the Stand Up for Homecare Campaign on the first evening of Medtrade--Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Georgia World Congress Center. Please attend this reception and help enhance public awareness about the entire home medical equipment sector.

Over the past three years, the Stand Up for Homecare campaign has presented positive, accurate information about HME to media throughout the United States and to congressional offices. The resources gathered from the previous fundraisers are supporting high-impact media relations, advertising, Washington advocacy, opinion research, and grassroots advocacy activities.

All of these are critical to our ongoing efforts on Capitol Hill and at CMS and other federal agencies. The Stand Up for Homecare campaign means a lot to my company, which is in a Round 1 location. The funding is important to spreading the word that what we do matters: HME is cost-effective and is both better for and preferred by the patient. That is why Medical Service Company has supported the Stand Up for Homecare campaign since its inception. If you have never attended the Stand Up for Homecare reception before, I encourage you to make the Oct. 25 fundraiser your first. Not only is this a great way to network and meet the best minds in our industry, but you can leave knowing you have made a difference for your profession. The challenge of improving perceptions about the HME sector is formidable, but not impossible. Support the campaign today and you'll get a number of new benefits with your ticket. The American Association for Homecare and Medtrade have teamed up to provide you and your company excellent benefits, including complimentary Medtrade conference registration and increased visibility in Medtrade and AAHomecare publications.
