Over the years, HME News has made a habit of compiling Top 10 lists. We've profiled the industry's 10 most powerful people, 10 top sales people and 10 under 40. In this issue, we introduce you to 10 women who either own a home medical equipment company or hold an executive position at one.
We compiled the list by talking to industry consultants, provider groups and other sources we respect. Our goal was to locate some of the top women providers in the country and find the answers to these questions: Do they have a business philosophy? Have they faced any special challenges? Do they do things differently than their male counterparts? What's the most rewarding part of their job? The most difficult part? In short, we wanted to provide a snapshot of who they are, what makes them tick and recount some of their experiences as women business leaders in a male-dominated industry.
