Trac’s rivals ready products

AUSTIN, Texas & MT. VERNON, Ill. - While Trac Medical begins rolling out its CareCert e-CMN system under the auspices of a nine-year agreement with AAHomecare, at least two more e-CMN companies are cultivating the HME provider base with products of their own.

One of those companies, eClickMD, has already processed its first e-CMN with Dearborn, Mich.-based Wright & Filippis. And the Healthcare Management Group, a partnership between Medline and Physician Filing Service, expected to finish fine-tuning its product last month. Afterward, HMG planned to help launch three new HME provider customers monthly.

Although Trac has struck a deal with AAHomecare, the trade group’s chairman, Joel Mills, said that agreement is not exclusive.

“AAH is still taking with e-Click and other vendors and encouraging all vendors to talk to TracMed about how all these solutions can be integrated,” Mills stated in an e-mail.
