USM buys Central Kentucky Mobility

ST. LOUIS - United Seating & Mobility (USM) has acquired Central Kentucky Mobility's (CKM) complex mobility business, it announced July 22.

USM President and CEO Bob Gouy called CKM's service areas in Lexington and Louisville, Ky., as well as central, eastern and southern Kentucky, "a core market for us."

The merged USM/CKM will continue to provide services in that area.

"CKM's culture and commitment is a perfect match for us," stated Gouy. "We look forward to providing the resources and support to build on their strong reputation for delivering the right products, excellent customer care and the follow-up service our clients require."

Gouy also stated, "We are delighted to welcome their quality rehab staff to the USM team and look forward to the opportunities this expansion brings."

The acquisition comes on the heels of USM's acquisitions of Rehab Specialties in Texas and Advacare Mobility in Kansas and Missouri in June.
