VGM bolsters offerings

WATERLOO, Iowa - VGM Education has created an executive-level program, "Managing Your Business in a Turbulent Regulatory Environment," for owners and managers of HME businesses.

The program will include presentations by Mark Higley, The VGM Group's vice president-development, and a host of experts from various business disciplines.

"To remain successful, decision-makers must analyze their business processes and strategically plan for the future," stated Sara Bauer, VGM's vice president-education, in a release.

The program will take place at VGM headquarters and at locations throughout the country.

In other news, vgm creative plans to release a Spanish language version of "Know Your Options: A Guide to Home Care Products and Home Accessibility" next month.

VGM has sold 60,000 copies of the English version of the guide, which can be customized with company logos and addresses.

"Spanish is the native tongue of nearly 15% of the U.S. population, and the Latino population is growing at a much faster rate than the general population," stated Mike Mallaro, CFO, in a release. "Appealing to a Spanish-speaking clientele is just smart business for HMEs. This is a powerful marketing piece designed to help providers reach this important and growing population."

The guide includes a "plan-and-learn section" aimed at creating educated shoppers, and information on Medicare.
