VGM spin-off locates in downtown building

WATERLOO -- Van G. Miller & Associates purchased a landmark building in downtown Waterloo last month. The building, built in 1892, will house VGM's newest division -- Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation -- a nonprofit, accreditation organization that launched in June. The Healthcare Quality Association will work with small home health care companies on getting accredited in time for the MMA's 2007 deadline. The company expects to employ 15 to 20 people over the next 18 months, including on-site staff in Waterloo and surveyors who will inspect customers' practices, record keeping and administrative structure to make sure they comply.
