Sunrise Medical recently launched a colorful new website for kids who use Zippie pedatric wheelchairs and for their parents.
The Zippie Exploration Station challenges children with entertaining games and features periodic contests to win prizes. The goal of the new site, along with the company's Facebook page, is to create a fun, informative online resource for families and to encourage kids to go out and be active.
"We want to get children into it and over time challenge them to get out there, taking pictures of themselves in various settings and posting them, doing wheelies and those kinds of things to get them more into a dynamic mood and interacting with their community," said Michael Proffitt, vice president of marketing.
For parents, the site features Zippie product information, a chat room, resources from various organizations and a newsletter.
