MIDDLEBURG, Fla.--Provider Tom McEnany in March moved into a new 16,500-square-foot location here that was built just for him. “Instead of moving into an existing building and making it work, we built our own custom designed building,” said McEnany, owner of Wheelchairs Plus. The building, which will house Wheelchairs Plus and McEnany's other business, Home Therapy Products, has unique features like separate areas for cleaning equipment, fitting patients and conducting repairs. McEnany's old location was a number of suites in an industrial park in Jacksonville, Fla. “To talk to someone in person, often you had to leave your suite, walk outside, and go into another suite,” he said. “It became increasingly difficult to function.”
