We posted the NewsPoll question for our April issue yesterday afternoon and considering the number of responses we've received already, something tells us the Internet is on your minds. As usual, we'll publish the results of the poll in our next issue. It should be interesting: So far, the majority of you feel the Internet is making your customers savvier buyers of home medical equipment, BUT only half of you are using the technology as a marketing tool. Your biggest complaint about the Internet: "It has hurt our business, because we can't operate at the deep discount offered on the Web," wrote in one respondent.
Looking a little farther forward, we're planning on publishing a special report on the Internet in our May issue, which debuts at Medtrade Spring. It's shaping up to be quite a package: a story on the technology-related seminars at the show; a commentary by Senior Editor Jim Sullivan; a story about SeQual's new service and maintenance policies for Internet resellers; and an overview of how the Internet has changed your business, for better or worse.
