WASHINGTON - President Obama yesterday re-nominated Marilyn Tavenner to lead CMS. Tavenner has been the acting administrator of CMS since her first nomination in late 2011. It's unclear whether a highly divided Senate will hold a confirmation hearing for Tavenner, according to news reports. Tavenner replaced Obama's first administrator, Don Berwick, who left after his recess appointment expired in late 2011.
