March 1, 2024Theresa Flaherty, Managing Editor

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - Diabetes revenue for the fourth quarter of 2023 was down 3.8% against the prior year, driven in part by compression on insulin pumps, but AdaptHealth execs say they plan a big push to boost that part of the business in 2024.  Pump revenue in 2022 was about $160 million, and the company expected revenue of about $120 million in 2023.  “We came right in line with that expectation,” said Jason Clemens, CFO, during a recent call to discuss the company’s...

CQRC can’t support oxygen changes wholesale

August 31, 2021Theresa Flaherty, Managing Editor

WASHINGTON - Dropping the CMN requirement for home oxygen without ensuring there are objective measures in place to support the need for therapy could expose providers to claim denials and put patient access at risk, says Crispin Teufel, chairman of the Council for Quality Respiratory Care.  “We appreciate the expansion of oxygen coverage, but at the same time, some things worry us, like the subjectivity to which providers are subjected to by contractors and judgment calls,” he...

July 30, 2021Theresa Flaherty, Managing Editor
