Late on March 30, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released three important documents relaxing many requirements to facilitate providing care to Medicare beneficiaries in their homes during the current COVID-19 public health emergency. Join industry leaders to get the latest information about these changes, including:

  • Beneficiary signature documentation requirements
  • Face-to-face encounter requirements
  • Medical review activities

We'll also cover the DME provisions in the recently passed CARES law, including payment in non-competitive bid areas and expansion of practitioners who can prescribe DME under Medicare and Medicaid.   In this webinar, you will get the latest information to help HME providers effectively manage through this COVID-19 pandemic. Discussion topics will include:

  • CMS suspension of national and local coverage determinations
  • Suspension of some face-to-face encounter requirements
  • Waiver of signature requirements on proof of delivery
  • Suspension of prior authorization
