Accessories language makes it into another bill

WASHINGTON - Language that would suspend bid pricing for accessories for complex rehab manual wheelchairs for one year has been included in another bill and will be reviewed during a markup session on July 11, according to NCART. H.R. 2328, the “Reauthorizing and Extending America's Community Health Act,” would also permanently exempt complex rehab manual wheelchairs from competitive bidding. The same language was included in another bill, H.R. 3429, which passed with a voice vote on June 26. “This is great news and shows strong and growing support in the House to take action on this issue,” said NCART Executive Director Don Clayback in a bulletin. “We thank our legislative champions Reps. John Larson (D-CT) and Lee Zeldin (R-NY).”
