AdaptHealth makes pair of supply buys

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - AdaptHealth has expanded its medical supplies platforms with the acquisitions of Solara Medical Supplies and ActivStyle.

The Chula Vista, Calif.-based Solara is a national supplier of continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps and other diabetes supplies. The Minneapolis-based ActivStyle is a national provider of incontinence and urology products.

“As AdaptHealth seeks to provide more value to patients, health care professionals and insurance payers managing chronic conditions in the home, we believe offering a more comprehensive solution for diabetes, including CGMs, is an important addition to our expanding suite of products,” said Luke McGee, CEO of AdaptHealth. “The acquisition of Solara allows AdaptHealth to add scale in CGM and other diabetes management supplies and offer enhanced care for our patients with co-morbidities like obstructive sleep apnea.”

Solara just last week announced it had acquired Raleigh, N.C.-based Active Healthcare, it's fourth buy since receiving an investment in 2018 from Linden Capital Partners.

Steve Foreman, CEO of Solara, Gayle Devin, CEO of ActivStyle, and their respective management teams will join AdaptHealth.

“We are extremely proud of the organization we have built at Solara, which is based upon an unwavering commitment to serve our patients,” said Foreman. “We are excited about the capabilities that AdaptHealth will bring to Solara and the ways in which they will enhance our patient service.”

AdaptHealth took a big step into the supplies space in November, when it acquired McKesson's Patient Care Solutions.
