ORLANDO, Fla. – Gilgal Medical Supplies is on a rapid expansion track, with two new distribution centers in Los Angeles and Texas, and plans underway to enter the Middle East by early 2026.
Backed by these new hubs, Gilgal is fast-tracking same-day and next-day delivery for high-demand items like catheters, ostomy supplies and nutrition, said Tom Chacko, vice president of business development. To support rapid fulfillment, the company plans to leverage not only its new distribution centers in Los Angeles and Texas but also its partnerships with major suppliers.
“For example, we will have partnerships with McKesson and Medline so we can source immediately,” said Chacko. “Medline has 30 warehouses and McKesson has about 20, so that covers maybe 70% of the U.S population.”
It's a big change for Gilgal, which launched in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic with a local, retail focus. Earlier this year, the company stopped accepting insurance to focus on a retail and wholesale distribution model.
Internationally, Gilgal plans to launch a distribution partnership in Dubai in early 2026. The company has already shipped to Israel, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Libya and Brazil, with a 20-person e-commerce team in India managing global logistics.
“We see a lot of interest from the Middle East, especially, for supplies that are hard to get – feeding supplies, feeding tubes – so there's a huge international market we’re going after,” said Chacko.
Gilgal’s growth strategy centers on reaching individuals, pharmacies and DME stores, rather than competing for long-term hospital contracts. It has its sights set high.
“We want to be a $100 billion dollar company by 2030,” said Chacko.
